Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026. iWeiba is a free name finder. We do not require an account, an email address, or payment.
What we collect
- Name Finder input: the English first name and preferences you submit. These are used to generate results. The generated result may be stored at a shareable link so that the card, poster, and certificate keep working.
- Name Checker input: the Chinese name you enter. It is used to produce the check response. The checker does not create a public result page.
- Server logs: standard request logs may include an IP address, browser information, and the requested URL. They are used for security and troubleshooting and are rotated according to the hosting configuration.
We do not ask for your email address, create user accounts, process payments, or sell personal data.
How we use it
We use the input to provide the requested result, keep the service stable, prevent abuse, and improve the name library. This build generates explanations from editorial templates; it does not send your name to a third-party AI provider. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the feature goes live.
Cookies and analytics
The application does not set its own tracking cookies. The hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) may set security or performance cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies.
Sharing
Finder results are shareable by design. If you share a result link, anyone with the link can see the English first name and the generated Chinese names. Do not use the share link if you do not want that information to be visible. The Checker does not create a public link.
Retention
Finder results are kept so that shared links and certificates continue to work. You can ask us to delete a result. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and then rotated. Checker results are not stored in the application database.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need enough information to locate the result you are asking about.
Children
iWeiba is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top of this page will change when we do.
